The communications center is manned 24/7/365 by full time Dispatchers. Dispatchers are trained both in Police and Fire call-taking and dispatch. Dispatchers train on and use several systems, including FCIC/NCIC (Florida Crime Information Center / National Crime Information Center) terminals, CAD Systems (Computer Aided Dispatching) for both Police and Fire communications and E911 terminals.
